A Rustburg man died in a wreck in Campbell County Monday morning, the ninth casualty in the eighth fatal wreck in the Lynchburg area since April 21.

If received, about half of the extra funds would be used to open the newly constructed high school with cuts to several programs.

Richmond fire crews quickly extinguished a blaze that may have by set by juveniles Monday evening inside the vacant, former Armstrong High School in the city’s East End.

Michael Wayne Tutwiler and James Tucker Creamer entered plea agreements with the federal government earlier this year, and were formally sentenced Monday in U.S. General District Court.
