CHESAPEAKE The Steel Bridge will have an overnight lane closure tonight for guard rail repairs. The northbound lane will close at 8 p.m. and reopen at 5 a.m. Thursday, a city news release says. Workers with flags will direct traffic through the southbound lane.

By Jeff Lawson A developing storm system along the southeast coast will be a powerhouse of a system by the time it reaches New England, but will get its act together a bit too late to do much here in Hampton Roads. The system should only drop temperatures a bit on Thursday and possibly bring a few wet snowflakes to mainly northern areas as it pulls away.
