Weather: Breezy Sunday, mostly sunny skies

Today will be breezy, with a high near 60 degrees.  Clouds will gradually clear throughout the day, leaving mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.  Monday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high in the low to mid-60s.  There is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon Tuesday, and temperatures will be in the mid-70s. 

No explosives found after threat at Military Circle mall

NORFOLK  No explosives were found Saturday night after The Gallery at Military Circle was evacuated because of a bomb threat, a police spokeswoman said.  The threat was called in to the mall at 4:51 p.m. Mall security decided to evacuate the mall a little more than 15 minutes later, police spokeswoman Karen Parker-Chesson wrote in an email.

SUFFOLK  Four people involved in a head-on crash Saturday in rural Suffolk were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.  Police and fire crews responded to the two-vehicle collision shortly before 1 p.m. near the intersection of Old South Quay and Elbow roads, said city spokeswoman Diana Klink.

VIRGINIA BEACH Police have identified the men involved in Friday's double shooting in the 2600 block of South Kings Road. Allie Stanford Gallup, 81, was found dead in his house after police were called for reports of gunshots at 2:37 p.m. His 50-year-old son, Charles Gallup, was transported to a hospital, where he later died, according to a news release.
