Virginians who wish to keep 2013 health insurance plans that have been canceled aren't out of the woods yet. Although President Barack Obama said Thursday he would allow insurers to renew individual plans that don't comply with the Affordable Care Act, state regulators have a say. On Friday, the Virginia Bureau of Insurance hadn't yet decided how to proceed.

The Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office has released the 911 call reporting the Oct. 2 abduction of an 11-year-old girl from a Carrollton bus stop, as well as surveillance taken outside of the Suffolk courthouse of what is believed to be the abductor’s car, WTKR reports.

WILLIAMSBURG Police charged a third person Friday in the July homicide of a 42-year-old woman. Dana Patterson Mackay was found dead inside her home in the 100 block of Teal Way on July 27. The cause of death was determined to be blunt-force trauma, according to police.
