WTKR weather: Rain continues as cold front moves in

The weather system that has brought us rain over the past few days continues to linger over the region. Expect scattered showers and storms again today with highs reaching to near 80. A cold front will push through tonight and act as a sweeper to clear out the weather pattern. Skies will begin to clear out on Thursday with highs only in the low 70s. Temperatures will remain near average for the rest of the week and into the weekend.

Man, 89, in custody after deadly Chesapeake shooting

CHESAPEAKE A 89-year-old man is in custody after the shooting death of a 53-year-old man Tuesday night. The shooting happened at about 8:30 p.m. in a home in the 1700 block of Hines Ave. off Atlantic Avenue, police spokeswoman Kelly O’Sullivan said. She said she thought the man had been shot one time in the home.

York Co. deputies find missing 12-year-old boy safe

YORK COUNTY A 12-year-old boy missing since Monday night has been found safe. Linnie W. “Trey” Cain III was found safe, the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office said shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday.

By Jeff Lawson During the day it will again be warm and somewhat humid, with partial sunshine and another good chance for isolated showers or storms. Highs should be near 80 degrees. By Thursday we should see partial clearing, with the slight risk of a shower. Temperatures should be lower, with highs in the low 70s.
