Allen pitches plan for U.S. ‘comeback’
George Allen, a former Virginia governor and senator, spoke to the Fredericksburg Virginia Patriots on Tuesday night about what he is calling his "Blueprint for America's Comeback." About 50 people came out to hear Allen speak at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library's headquarters in downtown Fredericksburg. The group invited all the candidates in the U.S. Senate race to speak in individual forums; only Tim Kaine declined, due to scheduling issues....

Wood Fuel investment brings 39 jobs
Governor Timothy M. Kaine, on Thursday, announced that Wood Fuel Developers, LLC, a startup company and affiliate of Chester, Virginia-based Industrial TurnAround Corporation (ITAC), will invest $18.7 million to begin wood pellet manufacturing operations in Greensville County. The project will create 39 jobs. Virginia successfully competed with Georgia for the project.
