Former lovers of Huguely and Love describe volatile, violent relationship

Ex-lovers of both George Huguely and Yeardley Love took the stand in Charlottesville Circuit Court Thursday. They testified not only to the details of their own relationships, but also gave insight to the volatile nature of Huguely and Love’s tumultuous history. Michael Burns, a 2011 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, said he met Love at the Preakness Stakes horse races in Maryland in the summer of 2008. Both played lacrosse for their respective schools, and had a number of friends in common, Burns said.
