Southeastern District Player of the Year Krista Lewis threw a one-hitter, striking out seven, and the regular-season champion Hawks beat the Bulldogs in a semifinal Tuesday at Nansemond River.
Hickory (19-2) scored two runs in the first inning on Lauren Duff's sacrifice fly, followed by Caitie Warren's run-scoring groundout.

Sarah Mariano, Cristina Bashara and Lilly Cady netted goals and the Commodores (13-3) cruised to win the district tournament on Tuesday at Old Dominion.
Maury, winner of nine straight, used pinpoint passing to run circles around the Comets, who weren't able to sustain offensive pressure besides a few brief counterattacks.

For the fourth consecutive season, Princess Anne and Cox met in the Eastern Region final. And for the second time in three years, the Cavaliers came away victors with a 5-1 decision Tuesday at
