Staff report Kempsville on Tuesday announced the hiring of new baseball and softball coaches. Travis Sutton is the Chiefs' baseball coach, replacing John Cinnamond after seven seasons. Sutton, a 1990 graduate of Kempsville, spent the previous eight seasons as an assistant at First Colonial. He also was an assistant at Princess Anne and has worked as a private instructor.

For more than two decades, one boat always was the first to be identified. Its bright-red hull made that easy. The boat was built and painted for Dr. James C. Wright, an eye surgeon who used fishing to get away from the often-grueling task of helping people see better.

NORFOLK Eric Veilleux has been named an assistant coach for the Norfolk Admirals. Veilleux, 42, comes to Norfolk with almost nine full seasons of head-coaching experience in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. This will be Veilleux's first coaching stint in the AHL and his first assignment as an assistant.
