NORFOLK Norfolk State coach Robert Jones hopes his team got something useful out of Thursday's 76-70 loss to regular-season MEAC champion North Carolina Central. He'll know soon enough. The Spartans (17-13) drew the No. 4 seed for next week's MEAC tournament at Scope and will face 13th-seeded Maryland Eastern Shore on Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the first men's game.
