The state medical examiner’s office confirmed yesterday that a body discovered Thursday on a small island in Swift Creek in Colonial Heights is that of Kelly Catalano, who vanished two months ago after leaving her workplace near the Appomattox River. Chesterfield County police said they are waiting on final autopsy results to learn how Catalano died.
