Christopher Polinchock finally was getting back to what he loved.
In the weeks before he died Friday in an accident on Interstate 64, the 63-year-old Norfolk man's recovery from pancreatic cancer was speeding up, and he was making plans to return to the passions he'd been pulled from - skiing and helping disabled children and veterans.
