FLOYD — An attorney for the Coalition to Improve the Bank of Floyd said preliminary results indicate coalition nominees for the bank corporate board won seats in a contested board election Tuesday.

BEDFORD -- The Bedford County Board of Supervisors voted Monday night to increase its funding of Bedford County Public Schools for the coming fiscal year by about $2.75 million over the current year's allocation of about $36.3 million.
